How do I build a proper fire?

For a spectacular flame, the right firewood makes all the difference. While a little smoke is natural, you can keep the fire burning evenly and beautifully by following these tips:

• - Choose hardwood that’s dry and not too thick
• - Go for pieces approximately 6 × 6 cm—smaller cuts catch fire more easily
• - Stack the wood with plenty of space between pieces so air can circulate
• - Add just 1–2 kg of wood at a time
